Review: My Boyfriend Came Back from the War

In this post I have chose to review My Boyfriend Came Back from the War (1995), a piece of Net art from Olia Lialina, a Russian net artist and educator.

The project is an interactive story, browser-based about a couple meeting again after being divided by the war.
She used basic elements of HTML language to create a very fashinating and emotional Net Artwork.

Basically it is a website, where clicking in different areas of the screen, pictures, gifs or text, it will link you to another piece of the story, another emotion.

I really like this project as it let you immerse in the atmosphere, and just trough a few phrases and images it lets you feel the emotion herself was feeling about being divided from her loved one, and about their relationship in general. I found this artwork very personal and felt like there was a lot of passion and love behind it.
