Final project - Inspirations
Hey!
We have been working on the code for our final project based on many inspiration for the art and concept we want to communicate.
Firstly and evidently we looked at the Olympics logo.
The Olympic games are a very popular event to which every country takes part.
We want to create a piece which is similar and transmits the same equality values.
We are also inspiring our work on the use of the colours of the logo, in fact, we are going to have five different ellipses each with a different colour, following a palette.
We were thinking about using the national colour for each country, but some countries use the same colour, so we abandoned that idea.
We also inspired our art on a circular kinda look because of the traditional Sumi art.
Whic is a Japanese traditional art form where thick rough brush strokes are used. They create many different shapes, the circle being particularly popular. We want to capture the rough style and make our work more rough than neet, using the noise function, that in a way randomises the ellipses, making the art more interesting.
We were also trying to do something with maps and we had a sketch about it, before finally deciding to go for generative art.
These were my notes:
Bye bye,
Eleonora
